Bill Walton, a member in Dixon Hughes’ Financial Institution Services Group, has 35 years experience in public accounting serving the financial services industry throughout the Southeast. Prior to joining Dixon Hughes, Bill worked for KPMG LLP for almost three decades. Bill has served as engagement member on more than 100 banks, mortgage banking companies, and other financial services clientele. His banking experience has included community banks and multi-billion regional and super-regional banks. Bill has provided due diligence assistance to numerous clients and has served companies such as SunTrust, CharterBank, Synovus Financial Corp., GE Capital, Southern Community Financial Corp, BancTrust, South Carolina Bank & Trust, First Citizens BancShares, Inc. and BB&T, among many others.
