Independent Living Penetration Rates
Penetration rates and the methodology behind them are a frequent topic of discussion. Dixon Hughes recently published a position paper, “Independent Living Penetration Rates: One Indicator of Market Demand,” that represents the blending of our methodologies with those of the professionals from BDO Seidman who joined our Senior Living Practice in late 2006. The paper has stimulated discussion and brought more focus to an already vigorous debate. Keith Seeloff will participate in a panel discussion regarding demand methodology at Ziegler’s upcoming 10th Annual Senior Living Finance + Strategy Conference in San Antonio.

We welcome Senior Associate Michael Ray, CMA, CFM, who is a CPA candidate with over four years of experience in the healthcare and senior living industries. Prior to joining Dixon Hughes, he was CFO for a large CCRC. A member of the Institute of Management Accountants, Michael holds a B.B.A. degree with a concentration in accounting from the University of North Florida and a Master of Science with a concentration in tax from the University of Central Florida.
