Health Information Trust Alliance: An Option To Address Healthcare IT Compliance Requirements

Driven by constant change and evolving regulation, healthcare organizations are faced with unique challenges that require careful planning and new resources to provide information security and privacy expected by patients and required by regulations. New tools, technologies and methods are being introduced into the healthcare market to assist with identifying and mitigating risks. Entities must now proactively address, manage, monitor and mitigate those risks to meet evolving compliance and privacy standards. An emerging industry standard to address these risks is Health Information Trust Alliance’s (HITRUST) Common Security Framework (CSF).
